Bob and I are working on a hyperlocal website featuring the businesses, organizations and news happening in our neighborhood (a VERY small subsection of Columbus). Even with this small hyperlocal site, I can see more benefit for a small business to advertise with us than they could possibly see from the yellow pages. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In response to one of the questions above (when was the last time you used your yellow pages) - the question in our house would be quite different, more like, &amp;quot; When was the last time we KEPT the yellow pages?&amp;quot; We always throw it away when it comes because there is nothing there that we can&amp;#39;t google in less time than it takes to get the phone book out and find the business we&amp;#39;re looking for (if we even know its name/category).</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3307845599192345260/7445994267883488543/comments/default/8519596485697543207'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3307845599192345260/7445994267883488543/comments/default/8519596485697543207'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.flurkey.com/2009/09/yellow-pages-really.html?showComment=1257988526889#c8519596485697543207' title=''/><author><name>Angie Meeker</name><uri>http://www.mynameisangie.com</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.flurkey.com/2009/09/yellow-pages-really.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3307845599192345260.post-7445994267883488543' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/3307845599192345260/posts/default/7445994267883488543' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
